Wise Dragon - False Gods
Wise Dragon - copyright Behind the velvet shroud so high, The black-robed lords do weave their lie. With hands of gold and tongues of fire, They build their thrones on graves most dire. Wake thee now, rise from thy dreaming, Hear the wretched dead souls screaming! Break thy chains, let steel be drawn, Strike ere all is lost ‘fore dawn! Drunk on power, blind with greed, They feast whilst we are left to bleed. They cast thee trinkets, bright and fair, Yet steal thy soul in poisoned air. Wake thee now, rise from thy dreaming, Hear the wretched dead souls screaming! Break thy chains, let steel be drawn, Strike ere all is lost ‘fore dawn! A world of glass, a gilded cage, A dream designed to blind thine rage. Utopia’s veil doth mask thy doom, A grave prepared, a waiting tomb. Wake thee now! Let swords be singing! Death shall dance, the bells be ringing! Tear their thrones, set flame on high, Let the false gods burn and die!
