Tears in Rain - Vangelis tribute with Soma Pipe - Blade Runner (1982) final scene
Took me some time, but I finally gathered strength to create a tribute to Vangelis, one of the greatest composers who were a beacon in my childhood. The fire background comes from my 2017 video clip, from my 2014 song, "Message in a Bottle", also on my Youtube channel. Using my drone, I filmed a bonfire "to bury Mr. Winter" in Court-St-Etienne, Belgium then in March 2017, which I blended with random space Sci-Fi art I had found on the Internet at the time. I don't know who made then or when because I already had the pics for a while when I made that video clip. But it was too good for this theme to pass on. Also, I started to scratch a bass guitar, after 35 years not playing the guitar. This is only the beginning. Vangelis is to my music world what Mozart or Beethoven is to people who live in the classical music world. His loss I haven't stopped feeling since I learnt the news of his passing away. R.I.P. Vangelis, you were one of my mentor from childhood, one of these composers who always whispered to my ear music should be my life.
