BC ENTREPRENEUR IMMIGRATION - PROGRAM Information & REQUIREMENTS If you are a entrepreneur or a business man or even a very senior manager and want to immigrate to B.C. and are ready to invest in and actively manage a valid business here, you may qualify for the BC Entrepreneur Immigration stream. Here is an overview of the requirements. Personal requirements To qualify, you must: 1. have a personal net worth of at least CAD$600,000 2. demonstrate business and/or management experience 3. have, or be eligible for, legal immigration status in Canada Business, job and investment requirements To qualify you must: 1. establish an eligible new business or purchase and improve an existing business 2. make an eligible personal investment of at least CAD$200,000 in the business 3. create at least one new full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in the business Let us now elaborate what the above means: What does Personal Net Worth mean? Personal net worth In order to register, you must have at least a minimum of $600,000 in personal net worth. Your personal net worth must be legally obtained and verifiable. You must disclose all of your personal net worth, including all your assets and those of your spouse or common-law partner, less any liabilities including mortgages and personal debts: 1. cash 2. assets in bank accounts 3. fixed (term) deposits 4. real property 5. investments in bonds, stocks and mutual funds 6. investments in one or more businesses 7. pensions and other assets As required, Polinsys will use the Federal Schedule 4A form to evaluate this criterion Points are awarded under the following basis: Each section of the registration has a minimum eligibility score. You must meet the minimum scores in each section to be entered into the qualified pool.
