Usually after 2 years of buying it, when it is out of warranty, some keys stop working, so you need to buy a new keyboard again, and keep giving money to the manufacturer. The problem is not the connection when pressing a key, the problem is the microcontroller on the board that sends the information to the computer that fails to register the connection in the circuit. This microcontroller is of very low quality, manufactured even to rot in a few years, no longer working. This is a well known technique in the technology industry made by manufacturers to increase sales revenue. The problem is that it's bad for the consumer and bad for the environment, because these keyboards are made of 95% plastic and we're creating a huge amount of plastic that isn't recycled, creating even more e-waste. I 100% support the right to repair, and I will demonstrate how to open this keyboard for repair, replacing the controller board when the keys stop registering, or replacing the USB cable if it is damaged. So even if you buy a cheap keyboard, it's always cheaper to repair for less than $1 than buying a new keyboard, and so you're also creating less electronic waste and using non-recycled plastic.
