Lenten Campaign 2017 – ‘Following the Way of Christ’ – Theme Video – HD
The Lenten Campaign endeavour is a faith-based programme of the Catholic Church conducted during the annual liturgical season of Lent. The Campaign is aimed at actively encouraging the faithful to be fully engaged in the three key Christian practices of prayer (Mt. 6:6), fasting (Mt. 6:17) and almsgiving (Mt. 6:2). The desired outcome of these focused Lenten practices is conversion of heart and mind, renewal and transformation of the individual, family and community. In the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur, the Lenten Campaign programme, which is founded on the social teachings of the Catholic Church, is conducted and organised by the Office for Human Development (AOHD) KL. For 2017, the theme of the Lenten Campaign is FOLLOWING the WAY of CHRIST, and the accompanying action focus is Upholding Justice and Peace in the Community. This theme and action focus continue and extend the emphasis on Mercy and Compassion initiated in 2016 as part of the Jubilee Year of Mercy. During the Season of Lent, and especially thereafter, we are encouraged to “walk our talk,” and walk the Way of Christ.
