DYI 07 WRX Impreza $25 blower motor replacement
2007 Subaru Impreza WRX limited $25 blower fan motor replacement. This video shows how to swap out just the blower motor & save yourself $250+ on the 04-07 OEM Blower assembly Part#: 72223FE020 using a alternative Blower motor. As many others my blower fan went out & the Blower assembly replacement was $300 ! After searching & watching some other videos, in the comments, I saw a link for a 01-07 Nissan X-Trail blower motor that fits in the Subaru fan housing that only cost $25. I did have to change the polarity of the wires going to the fan plug tho. There was no mention of that, in the other post. But you can carefully use the small screwdriver or a pick tool to release the terminal from the plug housing, then just swap the wires arownd & reinsert. I hope this alternative helps some people out.
