Моисей Аномальная бесснежная зима – еще одна причина сиротства медвежат
Отсутствие снега в этом году делает более уязвимыми зимние укрытия медведей в лесу, особенно это касается медведиц с медвежатами. Мы уже не раз рассказывали, что спугнуть медведицу можно даже во время прогулки по лесу с семьей или собакой. Но если в снежные зимы берлоги тщательно скрыты от человеческого глаза, да и пробраться в лесные гущи по снегу сложнее, то сейчас по лесу можно пройти без каких-либо проблем и случайно потревожить медведицу. Так это случилось позавчера: государственный инспектор в области охраны окружающей среды Новгородской области во время патрулирования зеленой зоны Маревского района, обойдя огромный выворотень, лицом к лицу встретился с медведицей. Медведица попыталась напугать человека, сделав пару выпадов в его сторону, но в конечном итоге убежала. В берлоге раздался писк. Но инспектор решил подождать – вдруг медведица вернется к своему потомству. Через некоторое время, подойдя к берлоге на расстояние 30 м и осмотрев в бинокль территорию, он убедился – медведицы не было. А в берлоге пищал оставшийся в ней медвежонок. Инспектор принял единственно правильное решение: забрал малыша и, держа его за пазухой, быстро добрался до дома, где было тепло, которое так нужно для медвежьих малышей в этом возрасте. Как известно, медведица, покинувшая берлогу, не возвращается обратно к своему потомству. Так и в этом случае – она не вернулась. Любое промедление, и медвежонок мог погибнуть. Вчера утром мы отправились в путь и к вечеру медвежонок, которому дали имя Моисей, был доставлен в Центр. Состояние здоровья малыша на данный момент удовлетворительное, аппетит хороший. Но он совсем кроха – весит всего 800 г, возраст – немногим более двух недель. Как и в предыдущих случаях, будем тщательно отслеживать его состояние здоровья: риски, к сожалению, есть. In snowy winters dens are carefully hidden from the human eye, and it’s more difficult to get into the forest thickets in the snow, but this year you can walk through the forest without any problems and accidentally disturb the bear. So it happened 2 days ago: a state inspector in the field of environmental protection of the Novgorod region while the patrolling the forest area, bypassing a huge felled tree root, met a bear face to face. The bear tried to scare a person by making a couple of throws in his direction, but eventually ran away. There was a squeak in the den. The inspector decided to wait – but what if the mother bear returns to her progeny? After some time, going in direction to the den 30 m away and examining the territory with binoculars, he became convinced that there was no the mother bear. And in the den squeaked the remaining bear cub. The inspector made the only right decision: he took the baby and, holding it in his bosom, quickly got to the house, where it was warm, which is so necessary for bear babies at this age. Mother bear, who left the den, does not return. So in this case - she did not return. Any delay, and the teddy bear could die. Yesterday morning we started our journey and by evening the bear cub, which was given the name Moses, was delivered to the Center. The baby’s health status is currently satisfactory, the appetite is good. But he is absolutely tiny - weighs only 800 g, age - a little more than two weeks.
