Philippine Navy Commissions BRP Mamanwa - The Ex-South Korean Landing Craft
On December 6, 2021, the Philippine Navy officially commissioned the BRP Mamanwa (LC294), formerly the Mulgae LCU 70 class of the Republic of Korea. The Mamanwa, a Landing Craft Utility, can transport equipment, vehicles and troops from amphibious assault ships to beachheads or piers, the navy also said. The boat is now part of the Sealift Amphibious Force.
