Power Mac G5 performance - CorePlayer vs. QuickTime vs. VLC benchmark + Linux bonus
As requested, a test comparing the performance of the CorePlayer with the rest. On the Quad, it doesn't make so much practical difference. I don't have access to an older machine at the moment for more tests. It is, nonetheless, the fastest player. The GPU fans go up when I use it, there's maybe some processing being done there. Please mind that this is a 30fps capture, and that I can't get 1080p captured without heavy flickering under OS X Leopard.
