Headlight retrofit gone horribly wrong 9th gen Civic Si PART 1
My 1st headlight retrofit that went extremely wrong due to a few mistakes and circumstance that happened. A stripped mini h1 bolt forced me to use my mini h1's v7 instead of cheap projectors for the high beams. I wanted HID in them to work as drls but that didn't work even with a capacitor link and ended up overdrawing current from the MICU (computer system in the fuse box that has SOLDERED high beam relays. REALLY HONDA???) This broke something and allowed 12v to go to the left high beam socket at all times even with car locked and key out of ignition. Needs a replacement MICU unit. Also passenger low beam adjuster popped out of it's socket requiring a 2nd disassembly of this light to fix the issue. Quite the most nightmarish and worst retrofit that I have ever done. Since I only lost money, I'll retry this even if I have to get brand new housings and new projectors. I will waste money, but I won't quit!!
