Factory Reset and Override PUBLIC Setting Password on Brother MFC-7860DW MFC-7460DN Printer
This printer that I got had a password protected setting. Previous owner has set it and may have forgotten it since the page count on this printer is only 50 pages printed. Brother MFC-7860dw, MFC-7360N, and MFC-7460DN Reset instructions: 1. Open front cover while printer is on 2. Press buttons in continuous sequence: MENU, Star, 2, 8, 6, 4. Yuh ou will hear a long beep. 3. Close front cover. You will see "MAINTENANCE" on display screen 4. Press "down" arrow once and you will see "99" on screen. 5. Press ok and printer will turn off and on by itself. The printer is reset to factory settings now.
