Garfield Go | A Fun Pokemon Go Clone with Real World Prizes!
Get Garfield Go for iPhone: https://goo.gl/fW2AxZ and Android: https://goo.gl/UCEG3J Welcome to the next step in the evolution of augmented reality games. Following the overwhelming success of Pokemon Go last year mobile app developer Freeze Tag Games has released their take on the genre. A game featuring none other than the your favorite lasagna loving cat Garfield himself. Upon first review Garfield Go looks very similar to Pokemon Go and that’s to be expected because both games use GPS map technology to pinpoint your location in the game. Feeding Garfield his lasagna feels a lot like throwing Pokeball’s too, but that didn’t really bother me. Your goal in the game is to help Garfield collect his comic strips as well as finding hidden treasure and collecting coins. These coins can be used to bake food for the fat cat that increase your chance of finding a rare treasure chest, which is important, because the biggest difference between the two games and probably the most significant is that Garfield Go has real life prizes hidden throughout. These prizes include gift cards to Amazon, Dominoes, Starbucks and more. Which means getting outside and moving becomes all the more rewarding, even if that means afterwards you gorge yourself on pizza. It’s an interesting twist on the genre and I expect to see more Pokemon Go clones in the coming future, but for now go download Garfield Go and start hunting for that free pizza!
