Omsk World News: March 2, 2026

In 1980, as a 13-year old, I visited Israel and Egypt. That time was really the point of crossroads where peace in the region was possible, and indeed was obtained for a while. After winning the 1973 Yom Kippur war, Israel had agreed to return the Sinai to Egypt. But as the world knows, things went downhill from then. The Palestinians had become a numerous people with no legal basis in Israel, a country determined to get rid of them one way or the other. Just as the Jews in Egypt, they have become a sub-people, ghettoed. You would think that having experienced a turbulent history, that Israel would show compassion on people enduring what they themselves had to. Unfortunately no. Just the opposite. That Epstein was working with Mossad seems obvious. And that desire to hold immense control over leaders and finance. You would never know that Trump was a populist to focus, finally, on America. No, everything in fact is 'focus on America' including assassination attempts and scores.Remember the suprise attack on Pearl harbour in 1941. FDR spoke about how Japan attacked while peace negotiations were going on. Japan scored a short-term victory, and likely, this will happen to the USA as the region could be emptied of American bases in the Middle-East even. And all of this completely beneath any kind of professionalism from a supposedly great power. In fact, what is left of this great power? Is it in the death throes to be acting so irrationally. Not content with starting half a dozen wars, Trump has made war on every friend and foe alike. And now, Israel is using the USA and will throw America under the bus, if needed. These are grim days indeed and a far cry from the era of 1980 when Israel could have shown itself as the purveyor of peace, forgiveness, and an international country all could enjoy.
