Samsung Trade In for new Phone Purchase. If you return your phone, you may get back tradein back
Disclaimer: Boring Video. In this video I describe what might happen if you decide to return your newly purchased phone if you had happened to do a trade in. In my case this is what happened: 1) I purchased a galaxy a71 from samsung . 2) A few days later I received the A71 and then received an email to start my trade in of my old phone so I wouldn't be charged trade in. 3) I sent my old phone and it was received in a few days. 4) A few days after that.. I decided to return the phone because there was a better deal on cyber monday. So.. what happened to my trade in phone? Do I lose the phone.. or will samsung return it? It depends.. But in my case I did get my trade in back. 5) So I returned my phone... 6) during this time.. my trade in phone was still in the processing and evaluation stage. 7) When I started the return, my trade in phone's status changed to deferred status. 8) When the purchased a71 phone was returned.. and I was eventually refunded... then I received an email stating that I would get my old trade-in phone back again and to look for an email with tracking number. End of my long story is.. I did get my trade in. As I mentioned,.. I believe this would have turned out possibly different if my old trade in was processed quickly. I believe in cases where I return the phone too late,.. there is a chance you might not get your trade in phone back from samsung (as I read in the small print).
