Day one of fixing my 2007 BMW X3, E83 N52 engine

First it was a no crank no start, I realized the key was not communicating with the EWS, I replaced the whole system and then it moved from no crank to crank but no start, I changed the starter, checked all the fuses but still nothing… I realized along the tries that it wanted to start so I opened the valve cover and what I saw…
