I Can’t Believe the Markets Didn’t Freak About This

I went online, as I always do, a few minutes before the cash open to call it for everyone. The action, if you can call it that, was fairly tranquil - “massively unchanged,” as I like to say. The bond market was kind of opaque, given that it was rolling, but even that’s not exactly unheard of. I couldn’t believe it. To be honest, I was expecting more fireworks. Why? Because a durable goods report dropped that ought to set investors on fire, that’s why. Month-on-month, the number is… upsetting.
