Many Muslims suffer from doubts and questions about the idea of biological evolution. They are seeking a well grounded approach towards evolution and how it relates with the Islamic theological stances regarding the origin of humans. Is evolution theologically reconcilable? What is the validity of evolution under scientific scrutinization? How do we as Muslims answer queries pertaining to Islam & evolution? With the purpose of answering these specific issues we have planned our upcoming course 'Evolution, Darwinism, Intelligent Design & Islam'. Our aim is to equip and educate Muslims with a framework on these very issues. Our Instructors: Mufti Zameelur Rahman complete his Iftaa Studies at the Darul Ifta Mahmudiyyah, Durban, under the guidance of Mufti Ibrahim Desai , Mufti Husain Kadodia and other scholars. He resides in Birmingham UK. He completed the Alim and Hifz program from Darul Uloom Birmingham, UK. Ustadh Usman Ali holds an Alimiyyah degree and has taught at various Islamic institutes. He is also an associate lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of Portsmouth and holds a Chartered Scientist Award. Currently, he works as Senior Specialist in Haematology with clinical laboratory and research roles. The credits for the course goes to ZamZam Academy and Whitethread Institute.
