Many of the images I use are taken from the Internet. In one sense, it's as though one were to capture material that flows through the Intenet, and to "petrify" it at a certain moment in relation to a space and an architecture. This painting is meant to create a passage between the real architectural and virtual worlds. I am interested in the concept of that which we call "site", especially in the sense of place. "Surfing" in the case of this painting can be taken literally, in that one views the work while strolling by. In this case, I placed the work in a semi-enclosed area, as if it were part of both the exterior and the interior of the building. One can walk by it from one side or the other..." Se instalo como pasaje entre un edificio y su estacionamiento de automoviles. Entre el espacio de "arte" y el espacio "otro". Trata de repensar la compleja nocion de sitio contemporaneo. Se presenta como un "atraves" de sitios, mas que especifico a uno. Enfatiza su caracter provisional y transitorio. Se lo podria ver como un panorama sobre los problemas del globalismo y la inestabilidad inherentes a las especies visuales de representacion ligadas a el. Mapas, comics, imagenes periodisticas, propagandas y signos. Todas estas especies parecen ceder terreno entre ellas, creando aleaciones y agenciamientos hibridos e inestables. Como que si por si solos, como la pintura tradicional, no serian suficiente. Como que la re-acomodacion permanente es inevitable para relacionarce con la furtiva realidad. La obra hace uso de dos cortes fisicos o puertas, que la hacen circular y re-editar mas facilmente. El espectador segun su punto de vista y velocidad une o separa estos cortes en mas o menos continuidad..." - Fabian Marcaccio
