Нижняя опора в движении.Бурная вода.(Rough water)

Rough water Low Brace Rough water is where the low brace has its primary function to help keep you upright. Learning If you find yourself in an environment you find challenging where your stability is in question you can flick into the low brace whenever you need it to help keep you in balance. If you are paddling forwards you will be in a better position to be stable. It is when you stop and don't have the brace as an option that paddlers mostly capsize in conditions. If you are paddling where there is broken white waves around you will need to get into your low brace on the same side the wave is approaching from. Make sure you don't commit to the brace before you need it and just have it ready on the surface of the water. Exercise As you are paddling along get used to flicking into position every 2 or 3 strokes. You need a few forward strokes in-between to keep your speed up so that you have the support from the climbing blade. It may look strange as you are paddling along but the more you do this the better as it will help you get the quicker and slicker at getting into position. Please be aware that if you are practicing this stroke in conditions outside of your comfort zone where you may swim then make sure your group as a whole are within their comfort zone and that you have something in place to bring the situation back into control and get you back in your kayak. Move on... When you have used the stroke on a journey out in conditions and know you can rely on it to keep you upright when a wave comes in from the side. @Baskitravel
