Upgrade D-Link Dir-865L WiFi coverage using 5dBi external flat PCB antenna from TP-Link TL-W841N V1
In this video Free Wifi Marketing will replace 3 small 2dBi D-Link DIR-865L antennas with those 5dBi from TP-Link TL-WR841N V11 This will boost my WiFi signal as in theory, 3dBi difference will double your power First step is to get antennas from TP-Link TL-WR841N V11 router. If you do, please make sure you use V11 because it has flat antenna I donot mind destroy the case as I only need inner elements This mod needs 3 antennas so I have to get them from 2 TP-Link WiFi routers Even antennas' case are broken, the inner is all good and we can use to mod my D-Link DIR-845L dual band router By the way, I want to use Facebook Checkin for WiFi Marketing so I need strong 2.4GHz in order to reach far away customers Comparing with 5dBi antennas I got from TP-Link TL-WR841N V11, original antennas from D-Link DIR-865L are so small I wonder why they equip such small toys for this high-end WiFi router.
