Fransa 'nın NATO 'dan çıkması nedeniyle NATO Karargahı Paris'ten Brüksel 'e taşındı. Bu esnada Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu tarafından yapılarak hediye edilen mozaik eser de ( 15 ton ağırlığında - 13 metre boy x 4 metre yükseklik) sökülerek Belçika 'ya taşındı. 16 Eylül 1967 - Reuters (Önce NATO deniz kuvvetlerinden ayrılan De Gaulle önderliğindeki Fransa, 7 Mart 1966 tarihinde NATO’nun askeri kanadından ayrıldığını açıkladı ve NATO Başkomutanlık Karargahı dahil tüm NATO üs ve tesislerinin Fransız topraklarından çekilmesi kararını aldı. The ponderous mosaic was received in 1960 by the Belgian statesman M. Paul-Henri Spaak, then the Secretary General of NATO. The panel, the work of Turkish artist Bedri Eyuboglu, professor at the Academy of Beaux Arts in Istanbul, was a gift from the people of Turkey. It stood today (Saturday) 12 feet (4metres) high and 42 feet (13 metres) wide on the roof courtyard of the NATO building, on the edge of Paris's Bois de Bologne. There was some discussion as to whether to leave the mosaic as a fight to France for her hospitality during NATO's stay, but it was decided to take it for display in the new Evere NATO building.
