Nioh - Yamata-no-Orochi

A giant serpent with eight heads and tails. According to myth, it first appeared in Izumo (modern-day Shimane prefecture). A powerful hero defeated it, but at some point thereafter it appeared in Lake Biwa. Its appearance is reminiscent of a dragon and it is feared as a symbol of destruction. Normal weapons stand no chance against its armoured scales. Its sharp fangs shatter steel, its breath turns all to ash in the blink of an eye. It is said that all eight heads must be severed to defeat it. Kelley brought it back to this world, and with a creature this powerful on the loose, the fate of all Japan can be said to hang in the balance. According to myth, the Yamato-no-orochi was once defeated by getting it drunk then slicing it to pieces. The famed sword Kusanagi-no-tsurugi, one of the Three Imperial Regalia is said to have appeared from within its tail.
